Cardinal Health—helping ensure the healthcare system has the products and solutions needed to support the surgical backlog across Canada
To assist as Canada responses to the surgical backlog, Cardinal Health has partnered with providers and manufacturers across the continuum of care to understand their surgical recovery needs and capabilities. They have undertaken significant surgical inventory additions across the country—increasing stock levels for identified surgical items well beyond pre-COVID-19 customer demand and added distribution center square footage. Cardinal Health has also engaged proactively with organizations that help source health human resources and are working to secure additional space and equipment to support healthcare system needs.
“Our intent is to eliminate barriers, and enable healthcare providers to focus on patient care, rather than product supply,” said Russell Schuster, President, Cardinal Health Canada.
This proactive investment in inventory, warehousing space, and partnerships will ensure a high level of support for healthcare providers as the country addresses the continued healthcare crisis created by COVID-19.
